5yo – 13yo classes

Kids Jiu Jitsu

Our classes focus on developing your child’s physical and mental abilities. We teach your child basic techniques and drills that build strength, coordination, and flexibility.

We also incorporate games and activities that help improve their balance and agility. Our instructors are trained to work with young children and create a safe, supportive environment for learning.

Our Kids Jiu Jitsu program also promotes important life skills such as discipline, focus, and respect. We encourage positive social interactions and teamwork to develop confidence and self-esteem. Your child will learn valuable skills that they can carry with them into adulthood.

Self-Defense

Did you know that Jiu Jitsu translates to “gentle art” in Japanese? One thing that makes BJJ so unique is that it doesn’t rely on force, allowing a smaller and less physically strong individual to overcome a larger opponent.

While many other martial arts primarily utilize strikes and kicks, BJJ instead focuses on grappling, holds, and joint manipulations. This is why BJJ is considered by many to be the safest martial art! Our classes are tailored to each age group and skill level, ensuring that your child gets the most out of each session.

We emphasize the importance of proper technique and form, while also incorporating interactive games and drills to keep our young students engaged and excited to learn. At Wolves Den Jiu Jitsu, we believe in fostering a supportive and inclusive community where all children can thrive and grow.

Jiu Jitsu Fundamentals:

Our Kids program is tailored to children aged 5 to 13 years old. At this age, children are beginning to develop more advanced motor skills and are capable of learning more complex techniques.

Our program is designed to challenge your child while also providing a fun and engaging learning environment. Our classes focus on teaching your child the fundamentals of Jiu Jitsu while also developing their physical abilities.

We teach techniques that improve strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility. We also incorporate drills and exercises that help improve their speed and agility.

From tatami to life

Promotions are based on development and performance with respect to each individual’s personal journey and goals. When a student starts at 5 years old, they will be required to earn 12 stripes on their white belt (one full year) before being promoted to grey & white belt.
Requirements for monthly stripe promotion:
– Discipline within the class setting
– Technical progression of jiu jitsu
– Improvements in the student’s communication skills
– Continued growth in student’s confidence
– Attendance (minimum of 8 classes between stripe promotions)

The monthy stripe promotion applies for the kids 5-7 programs. In the 8-13 program, promotions are based on the coaches’ evaluation of the student’s level.
