Professor Matheus began his Jiu Jitsu journey at the age of five, primarily to defend himself from bullies, develop discipline, and build confidence. As he grew older, his passion for the sport grew stronger, and he started teaching Jiu Jitsu at the age of 15. He received his black belt at the age of 22 from his father and Master Carlson Gracie Jr. Since then, he has been sharing his knowledge and expertise in Jiu Jitsu with students around the world.
As a competitor, Professor Matheus has a long list of titles to his name. He has competed in numerous IBJJF tournaments, including Adult Worlds, Pans, and Nationals, and has consistently placed in the top ranks. He brings his experience as a competitor to his teaching style, emphasizing the importance of technique, strategy, and mental toughness.
He is a Brazilian native from Rio de Janeiro, with an impressive background in Jiu Jitsu.
